It is located in the Mugnone Valley where Chianti dei Colli Fiorentini wines are produced, along the old Via Faentina that links Romagna with Florence. The countryside is dotted with old churches, villas, farmhouses and “hostels”, which were stopping places for pilgrims and travellers of old. The fields are often terraced with walls. Once wheat and hay were grown between the rows of olive trees as well as vines and fruit trees.
